Emojong is 11 years old and has been in the Family To Family Sponsorship Program for about a year now. He was not originally selected to be the in the program, his younger sister was. Tragically, she was hit by a car while walking on the road to the market. She was killed instantly.
Give Us Wings immediately reached out to the devastated family to offer support and the option to continue the sponsorship program with another child. The family selected Emojong, and he immediately enrolled in Mana Junior Academy.
At first he struggled with the transition into a rigorous boarding school and was still mourning his sister. He was heavily supported by GUW, his family, and his teachers. This year, he is back on track and enjoying being around his classmates. His parents are also involved with funding his education and actively participate in parent forums and workshops through Give Us Wings.
