Where are the tables?

The format of this year’s event is a little different. The first part of the evening will be a cocktail party atmosphere with chairs and small tables scattered throughout the space. Then guests will move downstairs for the program in theater-style seating. So no need to get a specific number of people together for a table or worry about sitting next to a stranger all night!

What's the deadline to purchase tickets?

Tickets must be purchased by April 16. No tickets at the door.

Can I buy a VIP Bundle for more than 10 people?

Bundles are limited based on the amount of priority theater-style seating we have. If you would like the VIP experience for more than 10 people, please call our office at 651-789-5606 and we will figure out the details.

Will there be food and drink?

We’ll have a generous buffet of appetizers provided by Deco Catering. After the program, stick around for another buffet of desserts! A cash bar will be open all evening.

What’s a Basket Raffle?

This year, instead of a silent auction, we're having a Basket Raffle! And wait until you see these amazing baskets. Once you arrive, you’ll be able to purchase raffle tickets to enter a drawing for one or more of our exciting prize baskets. The drawing will take place during the program. Raffle tickets will be sold in quantities of 5 for $20. (10 raffle tickets for $40, 15 for $60 and so on.) Buy as many tickets as you want and spread them out over several baskets or go all-in on your favorite. Note that state law requires raffle tickets to be purchased with cash or check only…so come prepared! 

Are the event tickets tax deductible?

$40 of the $100 ticket price covers the cost of the food and other event activities. $60 of each ticket is tax-deductible.

What is the schedule for the evening?

The doors will open at 5pm. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy food and drink, browse the African Boutique, buy Mystery Boxes and basket raffle tickets, and play games! At 6:45pm we’ll move downstairs for a performance by Tiyumba African Drum and Dance Company, a live auction, and a program about Give Us Wings’ work in Uganda. Around 8:15pm we’ll serve dessert before everyone heads home.

Can my company be a sponsor at the event?

Yes! Sponsors at any level get great visibility and fun perks. If you’re interested, contact Peter Carlson, Executive Director at director@giveuswings.org. Deadline for sponsorships is April 5.

Do you need volunteers at the event?

Yes! Awesome volunteers will help make this an awesome event! Age 16 +. Check out the online sign up form HERE.
